Welcome to the website for Pack 84! We are looking forward to an exciting 2012/2013 year.

The primary goal for Cub Scouts is to have fun while developing life skills and an appreciation of the outdoors, citizenship, and family. Scouting offers your boys an organized and unique opportunity not available with other club and recreational activities to build strong character that will promote success throughout their lives.

How old do you need to be to join?
All boys entering 1st - through 5th grade are invited to join.

What are the ranks in Cub Scouting?
Tigers (1st Grade), Wolves (2nd Grade), Bears (3rd Grade), Webelos 1 (4th Grade), Webelos 2 (5th Grade).

Where can I buy Cub Scout uniform items?
The main Scout store is in Highland Park on Rt 41, just off of Half Day road. Uniform items can also be found at both the Ace Hardware in Round Lake on IL 134 by the Lakes Bowl or on Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst. You can also try BJ's Sports Center on IL 83 in Antioch.

On November 11th Thompson School will be having an opening flag ceremony for their Veteran's Day celebration. If any Scouts would like to participate that day, you must wear your Class A uniform to school.

Chicago Toy and Game Fair

The Chicago Toy and Game Fair offers free admission to all Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts (youth and leaders). See the below link for more information.

In our area there are some new Scouts in financial need and they could use some items in order to make their Pack go. If you have any old gently used shirts, neckerchiefs, or slides that you are willing to part with please give them to Michael Castiglia.
