Welcome to the website for Pack 84! We are looking forward to an exciting 2012/2013 year.

The primary goal for Cub Scouts is to have fun while developing life skills and an appreciation of the outdoors, citizenship, and family. Scouting offers your boys an organized and unique opportunity not available with other club and recreational activities to build strong character that will promote success throughout their lives.

How old do you need to be to join?
All boys entering 1st - through 5th grade are invited to join.

What are the ranks in Cub Scouting?
Tigers (1st Grade), Wolves (2nd Grade), Bears (3rd Grade), Webelos 1 (4th Grade), Webelos 2 (5th Grade).

Where can I buy Cub Scout uniform items?
The main Scout store is in Highland Park on Rt 41, just off of Half Day road. Uniform items can also be found at both the Ace Hardware in Round Lake on IL 134 by the Lakes Bowl or on Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst. You can also try BJ's Sports Center on IL 83 in Antioch.

Camp Oakarro Earth Day Conservation Afternoon!

Join us on April 26, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Camp Oakarro to enjoy some "Cheerful Service," a "Good Turn," or just to help out and fellowship with others in our Scouting family as we improve conditions and work toward improved conservation at Camp Oakarro.

STEM Weekend 2015

Both Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are invited to attend STEM Weekend! This STEM event will have all the resources and counselors for Scouts to earn the Technology or Engineering NOVA Award in just one day.

Pack 84 Skits for 2013/2014

For the 2014/2015 year the following schedule will be for the Dens that will be putting on skits at the monthly Pack Meetings. The format/timing/quantity of skits will be up to the individual dens, though shouldn't be longer than 5-10 minutes in total (if longer is needed for special skits, puppet shows, etc please contact the Cubmaster).

Open Positions

In the next year we will be loosing quite a few leaders that have been with the Pack, some a short while, and others quite a long time. We need to work on filling these positions and to make it easier for whomever fills a role I would like to do this now before the Blue and Gold so that there can be some transition. If you are able to take on a role please let Cubmaster Mike know ASAP. I'm happy to announce that Kevin Murray will be taking over for Randee Elsing as Committee Chair!
